The Brandenburg Concertos by Johann Sebastian Bach are a collection of six instrumental works presented by Bach to Christian Ludwig, Margrave of Brandenburg Schwedt in 1721. They are widely regarded as among the finest musical compositions of the Baroque era.
The Chatham Chamber of Commerce, in association with its member associations - the Chatham Merchants Association, Chatham Lodging Association, and Chatham Gallery Association - will be introducing the Brandenburg Concertos to be performed in Chatham during the holiday celebration weekend of Christmas Stroll. The first performace will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2011.
The Cape Cod Symphony Orchestra is assisting to identify qualified musicians to perform this production. The finest professional musicians from the greater Cape Cod area have been assembled to perform these concertos.
All proceeds from the concert will be donated to the Homeless Prevention Council on Cape Cod.
